Walker Valley Trail Reports
Walker Valley Off Road Park is a popular locale for the dirt bike and ATV quad crowd. Located east of the Arlington - Mount Vernon area, Walker Valley has some short but interesting trails for the 4x4 enthusiast. The 4x4 entrance to Walker is blocked off. There is a challenging rocky sidestep around the gate: "the gatekeeper." The idea is to keep big rigs and guys with rigs not-ready-for-prime-time off the trails. In other words, if you can't make it around the gate you have no business attempting the trails on the other side. Once you are in the driving is fun and quite challenging in some areas. The terrain changes quite a bit which is nice. There are not a lot of 4x4 trails at Walker but what there is is certainly fun for a good day trip.
